Education, Curriculum and Assessment Department

The Department’s Members are: the National President or Vice-President, the General Secretary, the Policy Office and six members elected by the National Executive.

The Department’s main responsibility is to compile discussion papers and policies which are related to educational matters for the Executive’s consideration. The Department is also responsible for UCAC’s Public Meeting at the National Eisteddfod.

The Department’s Secretary (UCAC's Policy Officer) represents UCAC on the Joint Council for General Qualifications, the Joint Standing Committee for Wales, the QCA’s Advisory Joint Committee and Teacher Associations, ACCAC’s Teacher Association Forum and WJEC’s Examination and Assessment Committee.
