Department for Further and Higher Education

The members of the Department for Further and Higher Education are: the National President or vice-president, the General Secretary, the Policy Officer and six other members elected by the National Executive from amongst the Union’s members. One member represents the Department on UCAC’s National Executive.

The Department’s main responsibilities are compiling discussion papers and policies for the Executive’s consideration and discussing matters which are relevant to lecturers in the further education and higher education sectors.

A circular is issued to UCAC members who are recorded as lecturers following each Department meeting.
